What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a collaborative state of deep relaxation, yet you are highly focused and aware. By accessing your subconscious mind, you connect with your inner wisdom and power. In a deep state of relaxation you become more receptive to positive suggestions, allowing you to reframe negative thought patterns, release old limitations and cultivate new empowering beliefs. It is self-control amplified.

 

Many people drop into hypnosis daily without being aware of it. When we are engrossed in a movie, daydreaming, listening to music and even driving, you are ‘zoning out’.

 

Our subconscious is the main driver of our perceptions, beliefs, thoughts, feelings, behaviours and therefore, our life experience. Our beliefs are imprinted at a young age and through traumatic life events. Just as these beliefs were stored in our subconscious mind, so they can be changed with new beliefs and behaviours that are more beneficial and transformational.

 

Early childhood regression is a powerful tool taking you back to previous life experiences that have impacted the present and will continue to impact the future if allowed to do so. Getting to the root of the problem acts like a positive domino effect moving forward. It can be life changing, freeing you from pain and suffering, changing your behaviours to benefit you. It is a very powerful tool.

What to Expect

I would like to recommend a 1.5hr session or more to discuss your session. As a client-centered therapist, I will also be requesting information about what brings you to the session and what outcome you would like to achieve. By asking a few more questions, I can ascertain the best and most effective approach for you.

Once this is concluded, I will guide you into a deep state of relaxation and from there into the therapy itself. Once complete, I will call you back.

How much are your fees?

 

This can depend on how complex the issue is. You can book a half hour consultation for free. We can discuss how best to support you. 

 

1hr session - $160

1.5hr session - $225

2hr session - $290

4 session package - sessions can run from 1 - 1.5hrs

Will my insurance cover my sessions?

 

Hypnotherapy sessions are covered under Complementary and Alternative Medicine. If this is not available to you, you may be able to claim it under a health spending account should you have that option.

 

Will I lose control of my thoughts and actions?

 

No. We will be discussing how I proceed in your hypnotherapy session which you will have agreed upon prior to the session. In this very relaxed state you are in total control of your own thoughts and actions.
 

What if I ‘get stuck’ there or don’t come out of hypnosis?

 

This is not possible. Remember you are in total control.
